World-Record Move? Euro Giants Make Huge Statement Over Liverpool Hero

Barcelona have laughed off suggestions that Luis Suarez could leave the Camp Nou.

The Uruguayan hitman has been linked with a world-record return to the Premier League, amid talk of a £135million move to Manchester United.

Such a move would be unthinkable to Liverpool fans, who worshipped the 29-year-old forward during his time at Anfield. Suarez scored 82 goals in 133 games for the Reds.

Suarez has scored 94 goals in 111 games for the Spanish champions since arriving from Liverpool in 2014.

Now club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has insisted that the centre-forward will not be leaving the Catalan giants any time soon.see-also-msn

“We read, we listen, we see this news, but of course, our interest in this particular case is that Luis Suarez is happy at Barcelona,” the president told Sky Sports.

“We are trying to extend his contract with Barcelona.

“He is one of our big future efforts because he is still young, he has a vision, a lot of ambition.”
