What Jordan Henderson said about Salah after Bournemouth will finish off Hary Kane

Another game, another goal for Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool never dreamed their £38.5 million signing would enjoy the debut season he’s gone onto produce, but his brilliance has become something of a formality in recent weeks.

His latest strike against Bournemouth sensationally elevated his tally to 30 goals in the Premier League this campaign.

He is now only one strike away from equalling Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez’s goal scoring record in a 20-team Premier League season.

And with four games left to play, you wouldn’t exactly bet against him.

One man who is tailing Salah all the way, however, is Harry Kane who has won the Premier League Golden Boot across the last two seasons.

The Tottenham man hit the headlines this week when, seemingly spurred on by his pursuit of Salah, he went to great lengths to claim what was originally given as a Christian Eriksen goal against Stoke.

Nevertheless, the panel eventually reversed their decision, Kane was given the goal and Twitter proceeded to poke fun at him in mass.

The likes of Jamie Vardy, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Salah himself all tweeted their amusing reactions.

And now Jordan Henderson has waded into the debate, dropping a brilliant comment about the situation during his interview after the Bournemouth win.

Check out the video below:

He wasn’t alone, either, with James Milner firing off a brilliant tweet himself. Take a look here:

Karius also chipped in with an amusing contribution of his own:

Considering Mauricio Pochettino has publicly revealed Kane has been affected by the social media reaction, it’s probably time to bury the hatchet now.

Salah’s performance against Bournemouth looks the opportunity to do so and if Henderson and Milner’s comments are the last, they’re a brilliant conclusion to the whole episode.

Besides, for all of Kane’s efforts and goalscoring prowess, it looks like Salah will be taking the victory in every sense of the word on this occasion.
