Video of Jurgen Klopp filming his Liverpool players on the treadmill is gold

It won’t be long before Liverpool supporters get to see their new-look squad in action.

And the excitement is already building.

Jurgen Klopp has splashed the cash in the transfer window and he now has a side that could compete on multiple fronts.

The days of being worried about Loris Karius are over, with Alisson arriving for a world-record £67 million fee.

The midfield position looks much healthier too after moves for Naby Keita and Fabinho were completed.

Add those trio to a squad that already includes Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk and it’s easy to see why Liverpool are considered a serious threat to Manchester City.

Fans have noticed the positive dynamic at the club right now and this has been perfectly highlighted by footage from Liverpool’s Instagram.

The club got Klopp to film his players, including Salah, Mane and Van Dijk, on the treadmill, and the results are gold.

“The most expensive running group in the world,” Klopp quips.

The best part comes at the end, when the German attempts to force a smile out of Mane.

Quality stuff.

You get the impression that playing for Klopp, while demanding, is an experience like no other.

Liverpool are next in action on Wednesday, when they take on Man City in the International Champions Cup.

It’s a great opportunity for Klopp to see where his players are at as the new Premier League season approaches.

It may only be a pre-season match, but rest assured Klopp and Pep Guardiola will both be taking it seriously.

Liverpool’s opening match on their United States tour ended in a 3-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

Van Dijk was Liverpool’s best player but all eyes were on Keita.

And the Guinean, a £52m signing from RB Leipzig, didn’t disappoint.

“Flashes of real class. Feisty and never stopped running,” the Liverpool Echo noted, grading Keita eight out of 10.
