Liverpool and Celtic target Henry Onyekuru has revealed he can leave Belgian club Eupen at the end of the season ‘for the club of my choice’.
The 19-year-old Nigerian forward has been in brilliant form in Belgium and his performances have attracted plenty of attention. He has had a hand in 18 goals in 26 games in all competitions for KAS Eupen this season.
Both the Reds and the Bhoys have scouted Onyekuru, while Celtic even had a £1m bid rejected in January.
That was because Eupen were reluctant to sell their star man then but now, according to the player himself, he will be allowed to leave in the summer.
“It wasn’t easy while it lasted, but I thank God it’s been resolved,” Onyekuru told Nigerian news outlet Own Goal Nigeria.
“An agreement was reached with Eupen that I will be allowed to move in the summer to my club of choice.
“For now, I remain with Eupen until the end of the season.”
