Liverpool have crashed out of the League Cup at the hands of Leicester City, and a large section of supporters aren’t happy.
Following three games without a win, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp opted to freshen things up and made as many as eight changes to the side which were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw against Burnley at Anfield at the weekend.
In came Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for his first start since arriving from Arsenal in the summer, while the likes of Dominic Solanke, Marko Grujic, Jon Flanagan, Ragnar Klavan and Danny Ward were all given the chance to impress.
However, not much of them did. Two goals in the second half from Shinji Okazaki and Islam Slimani condemned the Reds to defeat and they now must regroup ahead of their next Premier League clash – against the Foxes at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
Without a major trophy since 2012, it’s safe to say that a number of supporters are unhappy with the fact their side has already lost the opportunity to win a piece of silverware this season.
Most of which made their feelings clear on Twitter…
I don't mean to sound negative, but games like this are why Coutinho wanted to leave Liverpool. Something has to change.

It's ironic how Klopp is made for Liverpool. Lives off his past and is completely irrelevant now.

I suppose that's the relief of one less cup final for Klopp to lose 🤔

We're out of the cup before Manchester United and Everton even enter it. Embarassing #KloppOUT

So, one cup down for Klopp to win. He needs a pot more than ever. #LFC

Klopp doesn't seem to have any idea how to juggle his squad. The back five changes EVERY game and therefore no continuity
