Liverpool fans are desperate for the club to complete a deal for Thiago Alcantara in the transfer window.
The Spanish midfielder, valued at £43.2 million by Transfermarkt, is available after reportedly making clear his desire to leave Bayern Munich, and has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League champions.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano provided an update on proceedings on Wednesday, claiming Jurgen Klopp is “pushing” to sign the 29-year-old.
“Liverpool are still working to get Thiago Alcantara,” Romano wrote on Twitter.
“Bayern are now convinced they’re gonna receive a new bid from #LFC soon.”

Thiago plays in Germany draw
Thiago was a part of the Bayern Munich side that won the treble last season and Liverpool fans would have been keeping a close eye as he starred in their run to Champions League glory.
And they got another glimpse of the former Barcelona midfielder on Thursday when Spain took on Germany in their UEFA Nations League clash.
The contest finished 1-1, Jose Gaya scoring in the 96th minute for La Roja after Timo Werner’s earlier opener.
