The Next Coutinho? Liverpool Enter in the Race For £27m Bundesliga Star

Juventus, Tottenham and Liverpool are reportedly in a three-way tussle to sign Hoffenheim star Nadiem Amiri in the summer.

Italian publication Calciomercato have reported that Juventus, Tottenham and Liverpool are all showing interest in Hoffenheim midfielder Nadiem Amiri. The youngster has impressed at the centre of the park in a more attacking role and could now be set for a move to one of the big European clubs in the summer.

Germany-born Nadiem Amiri is a 20-year-old central midfielder who prefers to play in an attacking midfield role. The player is also adept at putting in a decent shift on the left side of the attack. Amiri made the senior grade at Hoffenheim after joining the side in 2012 on a free transfer.

And he has not looked back since. This season, the player has excelled in a more attacking role, which is his more natural position. A regular face in the Hoffenheim lineup, the 20-year-old has a return of 2 goals and 4 assists in 19 Bundesliga games this season.

His performances have drawn the attention of three big European clubs – Juventus, Tottenham and Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp is looking to add depth within the ranks at Anfield, which makes the exciting German Under-21 international a viable target for the Reds.

Tottenham too are looking into the prospect of bringing the £27m-rated Amiri to the Premier League. Pochettino has already shown his managerial and nurturing skills as regards the young and talented players go. Spurs already have a great young core full of future superstars and Amiri would fit in perfectly in a similarly ambitious squad.

Juventus have been linked with an array of midfielders since the departure of Paul Pogba. There might be questions on the prospect of game time available for Amiri, though, with options already readily available to Massimiliano Allegri.

These clubs have been credited with interest in several players like Mahmoud Dahoud, Demarai Gray, Sead Kolasinac and others. And it looks like they are set to battle each other for Amiri as well.

Amiri has proven his mettle in Bundesliga so far. But, given the fact that none of the three interested parties are likely to guarantee regular first-team action to the 20-year-old, the German Under-21 international might just prefer to continue his development at Hoffenheim, for now, at least.
