The 7 words Frank Lampard said to Mo Salah before their interview began was brilliant

Mohamed Salah’s season has been incredible, but it could get even better on Saturday evening.

The Liverpool forward has shattered a plethora of records this season.

He has netted 44 times in 51 games, with his ridiculous goal-scoring record drawing comparisons with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Despite his heroics in front of goal, Liverpool are yet to win any silverware this season.

But they could change that on Saturday as they face Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

If Liverpool were to emerge victorious, then Salah would have achieved incredible feats both individually and collectively.

Due to his superstar status, Salah has been conducting interviews with increasing regularity over the past few months.

And former teammate Frank Lampard has also been speaking to him ahead of the Champions League final.

Lampard was keen to let his feelings known to the Egyptian on his record-breaking campaign before their interview.

Before starting the interview, Lampard was caught off camera tapping Salah on the leg and saying: “I’m just so happy for you…brilliant.”

Lovely words from Lampard.

Salah simply responded by saying “thank you,” while letting off a massive grin.

He was clearly appreciative of his former teammate’s words.

Salah did not spend long at Chelsea.

He lasted just two seasons, where he made 19 appearances and scored two goals.

Most of his outings came from the bench.

But the Egyptian winger still claimed to Lampard that he learned a lot while at the club.

“I had one season with you [Lampard] and we know each other,” he said. “It was an honour to play with you, but when I was there I was not playing much.

“I was also still a kid. I went to Roma and changed and came back a different person but my time at Chelsea – I was just young and there I didn’t have my chance.

“When I look back I learned a lot from Jose, from the club, everything there was different for me because I came from Basel to Chelsea and it was different.

“For me, I always wanted success and it was always in my mind to come back to the Premier League.”
