The 24-year-old midfield destroyer could end up at Liverpool next summer

MARIO LEMINA could end up at Liverpool next summer.

That’s according to pundit Paul Merson.

The Southampton midfielder has impressed since joining from Juventus in a £15m deal this summer.

And Merson reckons Lemina, 24, could follow numerous ex-Saints stars and join Liverpool.

“Yeah I know (he’s been at Juventus) but he couldn’t have done that great because he’s at Southampton,” Merson told Sky Sports before Southampton played Manchester United.

“What I saw there he was very good, this is his test today, playing at home against a good Man United midfield.

“If he starts getting on the ball and dictating, you will have to start saying what a signing he is.”

Merson jokingly added: “He’ll probably go and play for Liverpool next season!”

Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne and Sadio Mane have all joined Liverpool from Southampton in the last few years.
