ROBBIE FOWLER says re-signing for Liverpool was one of the greatest moments of his career.
Fowler arrived back at Anfield in 2006 after Rafa Benitez swooped to get him in on a free transfer
Fowler went on to surpass Kenny Dalglish in the Liverpool scoring charts and he wound up with 183 goals in all competitions.
On re-joining the club whose fans call him God, Fowler said: “Going back to liverpool, I always think to myself, when you’re a young lad and you’ve got a girlfriend, and then all of a sudden you lose her, you always want to go back to her.
“That’s what i was like at Liverpool.
“I got a phone call and I was asked ‘am I interested?’ I nearly dropped the phone.
“Straight away i drove to Anfield to have a chat with Rick Parry and Rafa Benitez,
“I signed almost straight away.
“I’m lucky enough to play games for Liverpool. win trophies but re-signing was one of the greatest things I’ve ever done.”
