Germany beat Netherlands 3-2 in a friendly last night, thanks to a last minute winner from Nico Schulz, but most of the discussion on Twitter has revolved around Serge Gnabry’s beautiful goal in the 34th minute that put Joachim Low’s side 2-0 up!
Weirdly, rival fans delighted in it, suggesting it proved van Dijk is a fraud and not the best defender on the planet…
But what actually happened was the Dutchman showed Gnabry away from danger and towards the edge of the box – only for the Bayern Munich winger to finish sensationally.
There is literally nothing van Dijk, or anyone can do when a player puts it in the top corner when being directed out of the area.
Agendas – agendas everywhere!
