Liverpool are interested in signing Andrew Robertson from Hull City in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.
It has been reported that the Merseyside outfit are closing in on an £8 million deal to secure the services of the Scotland international left-back.
James Milner is the left-back for Liverpool at the moment despite being a midfielder by trade and in spite of the presence of Alberto Moreno.
Moreno does not seem to be too highly rated by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, and Milner is a ‘makeshift’ left-back, meaning that the Reds do need reinforcement in that particular department in the summer.
Robertson is a good left-back and is very promising, and the Hull star would indeed be a good signing for Liverpool.
The Scotsman is only 23 years of age, meaning that he would still develop and progress, which can only be something positive for Liverpool.
The former Queen’s Park and Dundee United left-back has scored one goal and created 17 chances in 28 Premier League appearances for Hull so far this season.
