GARETH BALE has reportedly told Real Madrid to snap up Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn and make sure he doesn’t join Barcelona.
Woodburn became Liverpool’s youngster ever goalscorer earlier this season when he netted in the EFL Cup against Leeds.
Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Real star Bale wants Woodburn to join him at the Bernabeu.
And it is said that the Welshman has warned club president Florentino Perez to get a deal done fast as fierce La Liga rivals Barca are also keen.
Bale has reportedly told Perez that 17-year-old Woodburn can been a huge hit in Spain.
But Barcelona also reckon the youngster is set to be a future star, potentially setting up a stunning transfer battle between the Spanish giants.
Woodburn has made eight appearances for Liverpool in total this term, including starting their 2-1 Premier League victory over Stoke recently.
The Chester-born forward will hope to get more chances to impress before the end of the season as Liverpool gear up to host Crystal Palace this weekend.
