Liverpool target William Carvalho has reportedly shown some behavioural changes since he started being linked to the club.
As reported by A Bola on Thursday, the player has been ‘anxious’ over the English approaches and showed the pressure he’s under after the claims.
Even though the newspaper doesn’t mention Liverpool’s name, it’s clear it’s the Reds who they’re talking about, since they were the ones to first report the talks this week. A Bola have claimed Liverpool started talks over Carvalho whilst speaking to Sporting about Lazar Markovic.
As Carvalho lives a difficult moment at Sporting, it’s likely he’ll lose his spot for the next league game. A Bola claims he could stay on the bench and youngster João Palhinha could take his place.
This is basically what the newspaper was reporting on Tuesday, saying Sporting were getting ready to sell Carvalho because they trusted the 21-year-old.
Sporting are going through a crisis, and both the board and staff are not really afraid of making changes.
That would mean they’d look kindly to a deal, if the money was big enough. Reading between the lines, perhaps it’s likelier Sporting started the Carvalho talks with Liverpool, and they hope Jurgen Klopp can be convinced.
