Loris Karius has sent a positive message to Liverpool supporters on social media despite being frozen out at Anfield.
The uncapped German shot stopper has fallen behind Simon Mignolet in the pecking order at the 18-time English champions despite being signed in last summer’s transfer window.
Karius moved to Liverpool in a 4.7m deal from Bundesliga outfit Mainz 05 and Jurgen Klopp handed the goalkeeper the Merseyside club’s number one shirt.
The summer signing usurped Simon Mignolet as Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper before a series of erratic performances in November and December resulted in Karius being dropped.
The Germany Under-21 international has been limited to appearances in the EFL Cup and the FA Cup but Liverpool have crashed out of both competitions to leave Karius without first-team football.
However, the Klopp’s compatriot posted an upbeat message on his Twitter page despite his current predicament at the Anfield club.
