Loris Karius posed with two pals on the Anfield pitch after Liverpool’s 2-0 win against Sunderland at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
The Germany Under-21 international struggled to convince the Anfield crowd in his opening three Premier League games following his return from a broken hand in September.
However, Karius was the only Premier League goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet on Saturday afternoon as goals from Divock Origi and James Milner sealed three points for the hosts.
In fact, the former Mainz shot stopper has now kept back-to-back clean sheets for the first time in his short Liverpool career.
And the Liverpool goalkeeper posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption on Saturday evening:
“Important win lads! ⚽? Glad we were rewarded for our efforts in the end. Thanks for your visit boys! ??Get well soon @phil.coutinho! I hope it’s not too bad… ??#YNWA #LIVSUN @liverpoolfc”
Karius moved to Liverpool in a £4.7m deal from Bundesliga outfit Mainz in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool are in second place in the Premier League table and a point behind.
