Adam Lallana has taken to social media to express his delight at signing a new contract with Liverpool this week.
The England midfielder put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with the Reds to keep him at Anfield until 2020.
Lallana’s new contract is reported to be worth around £110,000 a week in wages, and will become effective from the summer. Liverpool are also thought to have the option to extend his deal for a further year.
The 28-year-old midfielder joined Liverpool from Southampton in July 2014 and has scored 16 goals in 80 Premier League appearances for the Merseyside club.
And the midfielder used his personal Instagram account to express his gratitude to Liverpool and promise Reds fans that he will give his all on the pitch.
Lallana posted the picture above on the app and wrote the caption: “So grateful to everyone who’s helped make LFC ‘home’ since I joined! Team-mates, manager, staff and of course the supporters.
“To be asked to stay longer means everything. Now it’s on me to repay that where it matters most… on the pitch. YNWA.”
Lallana will be hoping to feature for Liverpool when the Reds take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Monday night in the Premier League.
