Philippe Coutinho speaking with stars of EPL club ahead of potential £100m shock move

Philippe Coutinho is speaking to a number of Manchester United stars about a potential £100million move to Old Trafford, reports say.

Brazilian forward Coutinho joined Barcelona from Liverpool in January 2018 but has endured a mixed time at the Nou Camp.

While he won a La Liga and Copa del Rey title in his first season at Barca, Coutinho is yet to produce his best form for the Spanish heavyweights and has been linked with a move ahead of the summer transfer window.

Manchester United are one of a number of clubs interested in signing the 26-year-old and, according to the Daily Mirror, he has spoken to several United players about the move.

It is claimed Coutinho has admitted he misses the Premier League and that he favours a move to United, knowing his former club Liverpool will not be making a move to re-sign him.

PSG, who were knocked out of the Champions League by the Red Devils, are also weighing up a stunning move for Coutinho.

The Brazil international has scored 18 goals in 60 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions. Last month, the Barcelona president insisted Coutinho was not for sale.

‘We expect a lot from him [Coutinho],’ Josep Maria Bartomeu told Marca. ‘We do not want to sell him, he’s one of the good players we want to have.’
