LIVERPOOL have already signed a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, according to former Kop midfielder David Thompson.
Thompson got Kop fans excited tonight after making the bold transfer claim on Twitter.
He tweeted: “I think we have already signed coutinhos replacement by the looks of it.#lfc.”
It left Liverpool supporters rushing to their phones to bombard Thompson with messages.
One wrote “Nasri?” while another replied: “Really? Who.”
A fellow Liverpool fan tweeted Thompson and said: “Who mate?”
But Thompson was referring to a player already at Anfield – ex-Chelsea man and £35m sumer signing Mohamed Salah.
One Liverpool fan with the username @lfc4vvd tweeted: “Salah ?”
Thompson then confirmed that was the case by replying “yes” with a thumbs-up emoji.
