Philippe Coutinho has admitted he enjoys a great friendship with Roberto Firmino, but insisted he enjoys an excellent relationship with all the Liverpool players.
The midfielder nicknamed the ‘little magician’ by Liverpool fans is often seen with Firmino on and off the pitch, with the two attackers always popping up on each other’s Instagram.
Coutinho and Firmino also enjoy an excellent understanding on the pitch, but the 24-year-old says the team’s cohesion is what allows individuals to shine.
‘I have a great relationship with him on and off the pitch,’ Coutinho told Sky Sports.
‘We are good friends.
‘But it’s not just him, I am linking up well with all of the players on the pitch.
‘And when the team is playing well, the individuals in the team look like they are playing better’
Coutinho and Firmino have helped fire Liverpool to second in the Premier League table.
Liverpool host Sunderland this weekend as the Reds look to bounce back from a frustrating draw with Southampton in their last league outing.
The Merseysiders have been tipped by many as serious title contenders under Jurgen Klopp and Coutinho admitted it was something his side were dreaming of.
‘We know that we need to get better, especially against those teams that are harder to break down,’ he said.
‘That’s (the title) obviously the dream.
‘And that’s what we’ve got to do.
‘We have to dream it.’
