Opinion split on Jurgen Klopp’s behaviour for Liverpool penalty v Man City

Jurgen Klopp couldn’t watch!

After a goalless first half at the Etihad, Liverpool went 1-0 up on 51 minutes thanks to a James Milner penalty.

The spot kick was won thanks to a bizarre Gael Clichy foul on Roberto Firmino.

James Milner made it seven goals from seven penalties against Manchester City at the Etihad, perhaps now fans of the home side will now not boo their former midfielder in future?

7 from 7: James Milner scores

But forget James Milner, all the attention after the spot kick was tucked home was on Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

As he always does when Liverpool have a penalty, Klopp could not bear to watch as Milner tucked the ball into the corner past Willy Caballero.

Due to the fact that this was the big game on a Super Sunday packed with great football, Klopp’s failure to watch the penalty both brought some great images and also plenty of criticism online.
