The president of Spanish side Las Palmas has revealed that while his side are interested in signing Jese Rodriguez from Paris Saint-Germain the winger also has an offer from an unnamed Premier League club.
The 23-year-old only moved to PSG in the summer from Real Madrid but has struggled for both form and playing time in France, making just nine appearances in Ligue 1 and not featuring since the beginning of December.
Jese is therefore expected to depart Paris this month before the close of the transfer window and Las Palmas have confirmed that they are keen to sign the attacker.
And, with Liverpool and Middlesbrough both linked with a move for Jese, club president Miguel Angel Ramirez has revealed that a Premier League side have made the player a firm offer, and are willing to pay the requested transfer fee and salary demands.
Ramirez told Marca, according to Goal: “I’ve been speaking with his representative and there is an English club that wants to pay everything.”
Earlier this month Ramirez confirmed Liverpool were one of the clubs interested in signing Jese, telling Las Provincia (per Metro): “Jese Rodriguez is a great footballer. He wants to come to Las Palmas, but he is owned by PSG and earns a salary that is of his level – and that is very high.
“Liverpool, Milan and Roma want Jese and are ready to pay what he earns. We cannot afford that salary.”
Las Palmas appear to be set for a busy month should they get Jese with the Spanish club also linked with West Ham’s Jonathan Calleri while are also rumoured to be interested in signing former Barcelona youngster Alen Halilovic.
