LIVERPOOL have signed youngster Patrik Raitanen up to a professional contract.
Raitanen will move up to Steven Gerrard’s U18s team after penning a four-year deal.
“Proudest moment in my career and I hope there is plenty more coming. Can’t wait for the next season to start,” he tweeted.
The centre-back, from Finland, joins from Pori side FC Jazz.
He played for the club in the Suomen Cup earlier in the season.
The move comes as Liverpool continue to be linked with Roma star Mohamed Salah.
Salah could supposedly cost the Reds a whopping £43million.
His agent dropped a hint that a deal could be drawing near after posting a picture of Salah’s British Airways boarding pass, with London as the destination.
Liverpool have also wrapped up a deal to sign Dominic Solanke from Chelsea.

The 19-year-old England youth star was out of contract this summer and compensation between the two clubs needs to be agreed.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has distanced the club from early purchases in the transfer window, which opens a month today.
However, 16-year-old Bosnian Dal Varesanovic has joined the club in recent days.
