Liverpool have submitted a £25m offer to sign Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski this summer, according to reports in Italy.
Italian newspaper Il Mattino, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that Liverpool have reignited their interest in the Poland international after being linked with Zielinski during his spell at Udinese.
The same article states that Liverpool have made a £25m bid to sign the midfielder as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his options ahead of a return to the Champions League next seasn.
However, the story goes on to reveal that Liverpool will face competition from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Klopp has already been linked with one Serie A star this summer as Liverpool continue to negotiate with AS Roma over the sale of Egypt international Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to secure a long-awaited return to the Champions League.
The Reds appointed Klopp as their manager in October 2015 after a disappointing spell under Brendan Rodgers.
The Merseyside outfit will be expected to strengthen their squad significantly this summer ahead of their return to the Champions League.
