Paris Saint-Germain have identified Liverpool playmaker Adam Lallana as a possible transfer target and are willing to offer £40 million for the England international, according to reports.
The former Southampton star has had an exemplary start to the new campaign and has been critical to the Reds’ march into the top four of the Premier League.
Lallana is clearly benefitting from Jurgen Klopp’s tutelage and has looked at home in a deeper, three-man central midfield position.
The report suggests that the Ligue 1 champions would be willing to triple Lallana’s wages to a staggering £200,000 per week if he was willing to cross the English Channel.
Lallana is currently injured but Liverpool beat Sunderland 2-0 without him on Saturday at Anfield.
The Kop will be hoping the Englishman is ready to feature again soon, especially as fellow creative talent Philippe Coutinho picked up a serious-looking ankle injury in the win over the Black Cats.
