Sadio Mane has revealed that Jurgen Klopp has been telling Liverpool’s forwards to play with freedom this season.
The Reds have made an impressive start to the new season in what is Klopp’s first full campaign in charge at Anfield.
Liverpool have already beaten the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City so far this season and are currently just two points behind leaders Manchester City after seven games of the new campaign.
Mane has been one of the Reds’ standout performers this season and has been a regular fixture in the Liverpool starting line-up.
The Reds have been praised for their free-flowing attacking displays in recent months.
And Mane has revealed the advice that Klopp has been giving to his attacking players this season.
Speaking in an interview with Liverpool’s website, Mane said: “It’s a system where everybody knows their job. Roberto, Coutinho, Studge, Adam… we know each other’s game.
“It’s become easier for us thanks to working on it and we are enjoying playing this way. Whether I’m starting up front or out wide isn’t really the most important thing.
“The manager says be free and then get into dangerous areas where you can hurt the opposition.”
Mane and his Liverpool team-mates are set to now turn their attentions towards their crunch Premier League clash with Manchester United at Anfield next Monday night.
