Gary Neville has gone from public enemy number one to largely respected TV pundit in the last few years (who saw that coming?!).
But despite his position alongside Carra on Sky’s Monday Night Football show every week, he cannot resist having a swipe at us every now and again.
To be fair, this time he was provoked by Jamie.
After United were thumped 4-0 by Mourinho’s former side Chelsea at the weekend, Neville posted a pic of himself on a motorbike on Instagram:
Man Utd get beat 4-0 & @GNev2 is taking a selfie on a bike, does it get better than this?!! ??? pic.twitter.com/eZ9MXBXJgw

Then came Neville’s retort:
Taken at Anfield Monday
" happened " pic.twitter.com/7TM7wPHcZF

Ouch.
But when pushed on whether on why he sent the message, he admitted he was just trying to deflect attention away from his former side’s horror show at Stamford Bridge.
Sort of!! I hope they don't win the league or that tweet could be painful! https://t.co/zwWYjWgA5e

We make that Carra 147-96 Neville in the ongoing banter battle between the two!
Be the first to comment on "Neville takes a snide swipe at Liverpool, but laughably admits why he spoke out"
