Liverpool lost their top spot to Chelsea at the weekend and will be looking to bounce back when they face Sunderland at Anfield next weekend. Klopp’s men looked tired against the Saints but should have won the game.
The Reds are currently looking to sign a playmaker who will replace Sadio Mane when the 25-year-old attacker departs for the African Cup of Nations in January.
The Senegalese international has so far scored 6 goals and provided 4 assists this season in all competitions. The Merseysiders lost the only game (vs Burnley) in which Mane did not take part.
According to the reports (via Liverpool Echo) going on in the media, Liverpool are looking to sign Dutch international Quincy Promes who is rated around 25 million pounds (€29million).
In ten league appearances, Quincy has netted five goals and provided 6 assists so far this season for Russian side Spartak Moscow
Like Mane, Promes is a quality pacy winger who can operate on either flank and in the absence of the former Southampton star, he will probably start on the right wing.
Here is how Liverpool will line up with Quincy Promes if he does end up moving to Anfield.
