“Most of the work is already done” – Liverpool Have Started Negotiations For Summer Transfers Says Klopp

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has given a massive update on transfers, giving some really positive news on the Reds’ plans for the summer. The boys sealed qualification to the Champions League with a comfortable 3-0 win over Middlesbrough and are now only a qualification round win away from entering the group stages of Europe’s elite competition.

While this can be considered a relative success, Klopp doesn’t look like he is ready to dwell upon the same and has insisted that Liverpool are active in the transfer market and the deals are almost done. This is a really good news considering that it is important to be able to give Champions League football to those players.

With that criterion now fulfilled, it is possible that Liverpool could close down deals for some star players and Klopp revealed that the deals are almost done.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, Klopp said,

“We are already pretty much done. What do you think? Tomorrow I will sit with Michael Edwards and say ‘What do you think?’ What do we need?’ – most of the work is already done.”

“Now we have decisions that need to be done, negotiations or whatever. But it’s all good and we are prepared and we will see what will work out and what won’t. There is no training in the next few weeks. We fly tomorrow night to Australia, we have a game, then fly back and the holiday starts for all of us.”

“I have a little bit of work to do, but I worked in my life properly when I was younger so it’s not really work – it’s a few phone calls and a little bit of talking about wonderful things like football, Liverpool and other things, so it’s good.”

It is an encouraging sign to see the club closing down the transfer deals real quick. It’d be so crucial considering that there are clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea, who are capable of out-bidding any team in the world. Hence the work done by our club here is appreciable though it remains to be seen who the incoming players are going to be.

Hopefully, we’re negotiating deals for star players and not some mediocre ones. Klopp has set the tone for the summer we believe and it is certainly going to be an interesting transfer window for the fans.
