Mohamed Salah reveals the ‘crazy’ thing Liverpool fans did to his car last season

It’s fair to say Mohamed Salah is already a Liverpool hero.

The Egyptian signed for the club last summer for £37 million and that transfer fee is already looking like a bargain after his 44 goals in his debut campaign.

And Kopites absolutely love him.

The Kop have already created several songs as they worship their ‘Egyptian King’,

And when asked to explain his incredible relationship with the Liverpool fans, Salah admitted he’s “filled with joy” when he hears his name being sung.

“I have given 100% for my club since my arrival, on and off the pitch. And the fans can see it. Feeling loved by the fans during my first season, fills me with joy. And they sing my song…” he told L’Equipe in an interview.

And when asked how many songs Liverpool fans have for him now, Salah replied: “A whole album!”

But their fandom goes way beyond singing songs.

In fact, L’Equipe asked the superstar ‘the craziest thing Liverpool fans have done,’ Salah revealed all.

“After a game, they threw themselves on my car,” he explained.

Crazy and probably a bit scary.

Of course, Salah wasn’t able to make much of an impact in Liverpool’s biggest match of the season – the Champions League final.

Salah was forced off after just half an hour, picking up a shoulder injury following a tussle with Sergio Ramos.

However, it seems he’s winning the battle to be fit for Egypt’s opening World Cup game against Uruguay on Friday.

“I promise you I will do my best to be ready for the World Cup and to achieve the Egyptian dream,” he said.

“I feel much better now and I’ll be ready to play against Uruguay. I will never give up on our dream, I promise to do my best for our people.”
