Mohamed Salah confessed his favourite Liverpool player is Steven Gerrard after playing with him on the Playstation.
Salah has been in phenomenal form this season, bagging 43 goals in a total of 49 appearances this season. Along with his personal goalscoring tally, he’s played a vital role in firing Liverpool to the Champions League final, netting 11 times in 14 European appearances.
But despite scoring the majority of his goals in and around the penalty area, the Egyptian international still admires Gerrard’s ability to score from long range.
‘I used to play with Gerrard on the Playstation,’ Salah responded to CNN when asked of his favourite Liverpool player.
‘He’s the one I remember all the time. ‘He used to shoot from far and score many goals. He used to shoot from everywhere and score.
‘I’ve met him twice and he’s great. A great man.’ Jurgen Klopp’s next task is to prepare his side to face Chelsea on Sunday, with the Champions League final against Real Madrid coming on May 26 in Kiev, Ukraine.
