Michael Owen is tipping Liverpool to claim victory over Manchester United at Anfield on Monday night in the Premier League.
The Reds head into the game in fine form and having secured a 2-1 comeback win over Swansea before the international break.
That victory left the Merseyside outfit in fourth place in the Premier League table and just two points behind leaders Manchester City after seven games of the new campaign.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have made a stuttering start to life under new manager Jose Mourinho and currently sit in sixth place in the Premier League table.
The stage is set for a fascinating encounter at Anfield on Monday night, and Owen is fully expecting to see Liverpool claim all three points.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “Liverpool have lost their last four in the Premier League against United but I expect to see the Reds buck that trend on Monday at Anfield.
“United are likely to be a danger at set-pieces with their height advantage but Liverpool have the pace and flair to hurt any team and can keep the points on Merseyside.”
Liverpool finished eighth in the Premier League and without a trophy last season, while Manchester United ended up fifth and won the FA Cup under Louis van Gaal.
