Liverpool urged to sign £82,000-a week goalkeeper after failed Alisson transfer

LIVERPOOL should target AC Milan star Gianluigi Donnarumma over Roma ace Alisson.

That is according to ESPN pundit Alejandro Moreno.

The Reds are still in need of a long-term solution between the sticks.

Neither Simon Mignolet or Loris Karius have shown they deserve to be Liverpool’s No.1 next season.

Having spent £75m last month on Virgil van Dijk to help shore up their defence, further investment is required in goal.

Brazil international Alisson, who has shone in Serie A and the Champions League for Roma, has been linked with a move to Anfield.

But Moreno is instead backing Liverpool to go after 18-year-old sensation Donnarumma, with his future at the San Siro in greater doubt.

“No, he does not (go to Liverpool),” Moreno said of Alisson. “I think, if I’m Liverpool, I’m going after Donnarumma.

“I think he could be their goalkeeper for a whole decade. So he may leave, but it won’t be Liverpool.”

Speculation surrounding a new contract for Donnarumma has been ongoing for some time.

And Liverpool could look to take advantage of continued uncertainty surrounding the teenager, especially with Milan struggling in seventh place in Serie A.

Alisson, meanwhile, is a reported target for PSG as well as Jurgen Klopp’s side.
