Liverpool Take Positive Step in Bid to Bring €24m Powerhouse During This Window

As reported by France Football (via Get French Football News,) the Reds have made an enquiry to Inter Milan for midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.

The powerful central player has not had the season he would have liked this year with Inter Milan having a below-par start and not getting the playing time he will have felt he deserves.

Indeed, the former Monaco man has been on the bench more often than not this season and is thought to want to move away from the San Siro during this window.

The story suggests that the Reds are joined by Chelsea in making an enquiry for the player and so it remains to be seen whether we or the Blues make a further bid on from this stage.

The €24m-rated player combines rangy movement with his physical presence to cut an imposing figure and we reckon he could be the kind of midfielder our squad is lacking at the moment.

If signed, Kondogbia can be considered as a potential replacement for Emre Can, who has been often criticized due to unconvincing displays this season.

The Germany international has scored three goals this season, creating 18 chances and one assist in 16 Premier League appearances. He has completed 578 passes this season with a pass accuracy of 82%, of which 70% were forward passes.
