Liverpool star rejected lucrative offer in favour of £118m move to Euro giants

PHILIPPE COUTINHO has turned down PSG again as the Liverpool star holds out for Barcelona.

The Reds playmaker is still eyeing his dream move to the Nou Camp.

After being blocked from joining the La Liga giants in the summer, a January switch remains possible.

But Ligue 1 champions PSG have shown interest in Coutinho in the past too.

And it appears the cash-rich French club have made a fresh approach for the Liverpool attacker.

According to TransferMarketWeb though, Coutinho has rejected PSG’s latest advances.

Their proposal was said to be lucrative for the 25-year-old.

But Coutinho is determined to join Barcelona, who offered as much as £118m in August.

A transfer request was even handed in at Anfield to try and force through a move.

Barcelona, though, are expected to return for Coutinho.

And TransferMarketWeb he is set on signing for the Catalonian club in January.

While he will be ineligible to play in the Champions League for Barcelona in the second half of the season, that does not seem to deter Coutinho from making the move sooner rather than later.

Liverpool have endured a rocky start to the season, sitting sixth in the Premier League table.

And he will not feature due to injury tonight at West Ham (5.30pm).
