Jurgen Klopp put the Liverpool squad through its paces at Melwood today ahead of the weekend game with Crystal Palace, but there was no sign of current first choice left-back James Milner (Express).
It’s a worrying development, and at the time of writing there is no information from any news outlet about where he was or why he missed the session. Let’s hope it’s not an injury and he’s just dealing with something personal.
Milner has been a revelation since claiming the left-back berth this season. He missed the opening day clash with Arsenal after picking up an injury in our win over Barcelona, but since then has been an ever-present in the league.
He was given the night off on Tuesday as we beat Spurs 2-1 in the fourth round of the League Cup. Last season’s first choice full-back Alberto Moreno started in his place, and to be fair to the Spaniard, he turned in a good performance.
