PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are not backing down in their pursuit of Philippe Coutinho, according to reports.
The Brazilian has been one of the standout performers for Liverpool this season with the Reds flying high under Jurgen Klopp.
Coutinho shone for the German boss last term too, winning Liverpool’s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year at the end of season awards.
His displays prompted PSG to make a bid for the 24-year-old in the summer although the Reds swiftly rejected their £22.5m approach.
PSG boss Unai Emery is keen to strengthen his attack and believes the midfielder would be the perfect fit.
The report suggests Lucas Moura could be the man to make way for Coutinho’s arrival at the Parc des Princes.
Emery is struggling in his debut season in France with the reigning champions third in the league, four points behind leaders Nice.
But it would take an ambitious move from PSG if they are to land Coutinho, who scored in his country’s 5-0 win over Bolivia early this morning, in the coming transfer window.
Coutinho’s current contract with the Merseyside outfit runs until 2020.
