AC MILAN are plotting an audacious move for Geoffrey Kondogbia in January, according to reports in Italy.
Milan are without captain Riccardo Montolivo who suffered a knee injury while on international duty with Italy last week.
As a result, the Serie A giants are in the market for a new commanding midfielder and have reportedly settled on Inter Milan’s Kondogbia.
Italian website CalcioMercatoWeb claim Milan have already reached out to their rivals about a possible deal for the Frenchman.
However, Inter are said to be demanding a huge fee for the promising 23-year-old who is under contract at the San Siro until June 2020.
Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Kondogbia this week and Jurgen Klopp is said to be keen to sign him.
Website TransferMarketWeb claim Klopp has approached Anfield chiefs about a possible January move for the France international.
Kondogbia joined Inter last summer from French side Monaco for £26million and has since made 26 Serie A appearances, scoring one goal.
He has five caps for France but was not part of Didier Deschamps’ Euro 2016 squad over the summer.
