Liverpool and Manchester City remain in the race to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco this summer, according to reports in France.
French outlet Le10Sport, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the 18-year-old is still very much on the two Premier League club’s radar this summer, despite the heavy speculation linking him with Real Madrid.
The two Premier League clubs are said to be battling for the teenager’s signature this summer but face competition from both Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
It is also claimed that Barcelona would only reignite their interest in signing Mbappe if they lost Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain.
Liverpool are thought to be on the lookout for a number of other new signings this summer as Jurgen Klopp prepares for his second full season in charge at the club.
The Reds have tied up deals for Mohamed Salah, Dominic Solanke and Andy Robertson this summer, but will be keen to bring in more reinforcements ahead of their return to the Champions League next season.
