LIVERPOOL remain favourites to sign Lyon hotshot Nabil Fekir – despite club insiders saying a deal is off.
Liverpool nearly prised Fekir away from Lyon last month but the transfer ultimately fell through.
The Reds pulled the plug due to concerns over the 24-year-old’s ongoing knee issues and the club are insisting Fekir is not joining.
Despite that, though, bookies have Liverpool as the favourites to land Fekir with the transfer deadline now just nine days away.
However, Ladbrokes still have Liverpool as favourites to sign Fekir despite them distancing themselves from transfer talk.
The Merseyside outfit are priced at 2/1 to land Fekir with Chelsea then at 8/1.
Manchester United, Real Madrid and Inter Milan are all available at 20/1.
And Tottenham, Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester City are outsiders at 33/1.
Meanwhile, speaking recently, Jurgen Klopp opened up on the club’s long-term links to Fekir.
He said, when quizzed on Fekir: “Nothing really to say about that.
“I said already something about it around a pre-season game, I don’t know exactly which one.
“It’s probably… done. But there’s two weeks left.
“If nothing happens with our boys, then I’m happy. It’s fine. So we can go.”
