Liverpool have been installed as the favourites to be Riyad Mahrez‘s next club with the Algerian odds-on to leave Leicester City this summer.
The 2015-2016 PFA Player of the Year hasn’t enjoyed nearly as much success this campaign, with the Foxes sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League rather than challenging at the top of the table.
Having been one of English football’s most exciting talents last season it is expected that Mahrez will finally get a move away from Leicester to a top club, with Ladbrokes making the 26-year-old 1/2 on to depart the King Power Stadium before the close of the summer transfer window.
And Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are the most likely team to sign Mahrez, according to the bookmaker, with the Reds given 5/2 odds of doing a deal for the winger in the coming weeks and months.
Ladbrokes News’ Dave Burin said: “It seems Mahrez is set to walk out on Shakespeare and Leicester this summer, with the odds suggesting his next act could take place at Anfield.”
Tottenham are just behind Liverpool in the odds, sitting a 4/1, while Spurs’ north London rivals Arsenal are close in third at 5/1.
A move outside the Premier League to PSG comes in at 6/1 and 10/1 gets Mahrez a dream transfer to Barcelona , with the Catalans sharing those odds with Chelsea.
