Liverpool FC are among the clubs interested in a deal to sign Mexico star Hirving Lozano from PSV Eindhoven this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Star is claiming that both Liverpool FC and FC Barcelona have expressed an interest in landing the 22-year-old, who has been in fine form for Mexico at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
The same report carries quotes from Lozano’s father Jesus, who claims that FC Barcelona are indeed amongst the clubs interested in signing his son this summer.
Lozano was in fine form for PSV last season in the Dutch league, scoring 17 goals and making eight assists in 29 games in the top flight for the Eredivisie side.
Liverpool FC are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to transform the Reds into Premier League title challengers next season.
The Merseyside outfit finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season and without a trophy after having reached the Champions League final.
Liverpool FC have so far only made one signing this summer, after having tied up a deal to bring Brazilian midfielder Fabinho to Anfield from Monaco.
