Liverpool players were letting each other have it while they were 3-0 up vs Arsenal

Jurgen Klopp has instilled a dogged attitude in his players and they will do whatever it takes to satisfy him.

Whether that’s Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino pressing high up or James Milner playing at left-back, Klopp has an unselfish squad who all share one goal.

It’s already earned them a Champions League trophy and the Premier League is next in their sights.

The Reds lead the way in the top flight after defeating Arsenal 3-1 on Saturday.

They’re the only team with a 100% win rate and they look destined for another strong challenge this season.

One journalist in attendance on Saturday witnessed two moments that epitomise this current Liverpool side.

Liverpool’s relentless search for perfection

The Evening Standard’s David Lynch witnessed Virgil van Dijk telling Andy Robertson off and Jordan Henderson getting on Mane’s case in the space of five minutes – all while Liverpool were 3-0 ahead.

“This #LFC side sets ridiculous standards for itself,” Lynch wrote on Twitter.

It took Klopp more than three years to win his first trophy at Liverpool but there is a feeling now that the silverware is going to pour in.

Indeed, the German says his players are “greedy” for more trophies.

“These are the transfers we did, keeping the boys together, staying on our toes, staying aggressive, greedy. Let’s go again,” he said at the start of August, per the Mirror.

“The higher you get, the more difficult it is. But we have a lot of space for improvement.

“First of all we have to try to reach last season’s level again. It was a good one, that’s the first target we have.”

The Premier League is the one the fans all want.

And this may well be their year.
