Liverpool need major reinforcements in the summer transfer window to have any chance of winning the Premier League title.
They have been inconsistent this season due lack of quality and depth and Klopp has to change that.
The Reds are linked with numerous talented players and the latest name in the limelight is none other than Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe, who is a wanted man in Europe after his record breaking season with the French side.
According to Marca, Liverpool made a mammoth move of 75 million euros to hire the services of the Les Bleus center forward.
However, the Spanish source claim that the offer was rejected by the Ligue 1 champions, who are looking to get over 100 million euros ($110million) for their prizes asset.
The 18-year-old striker has been in sensational form this season and it will be intriguing to see where he ends up after leaving Monaco. Back in March, the teenage boy deservedly earned a place in Didier Deschamps’ French side and was heavily praised by compatriot Kante who stated (Express):
“What he (Kylian) does at his age is exceptional,”
So far, in the current campaign, Mbappe has played 43 times in all competitions and directly contributed in 40 goals (26 goals and 14 assists).
Liverpool do need a world class No.9 to improve their strike-force in the summer but signing Mbappe is going to be very, very hard.
