Liverpool target David Brooks has signed a new deal with Sheffield United that is set to tie him to the Championship club until the summer of 2021.
Brooks has been hugely impressive in the early stages of the season and Liverpool expressed an interest in signing the 20-year-old midfielder, while Arsenal and Everton have also been monitoring his progress, as reported by the Mirror.
However, it appears that Brooks won’t be leaving Sheffield United in the near future as the prospect looks to continue his development at Bramall Lane.
So far this season Brooks has provided two assists in ten Championship appearances and has impressed with his excellent passing and dribbling.
Previously on Manchester City’s books, Brooks joined Sheffield United in 2014 and has been heavily involved with the squad this season after being on the periphery of proceedings last campaign.
Having represented England at U20 level Brooks has now switched his allegiance to Wales and was on the bench for Chris Coleman’s side in their recent World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and the Republic of Ireland.
