FIVE Premier League clubs are reportedly eyeing a move for attacking midfield sensation Hannibal Mejbri.
Mejbri, 13, is currently learning his trade at the Clairefontaine academy in France.
Thierry Henry and Louis Saha are both previous graduates of the prestigious training centre.
And Mejbri could well be set to follow in their famous footsteps.
The youngster is already sponsored by Adidas.
And Le Parisien claim he is a target for Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.
The Gunners were recently reportedly to have agreed a preliminary deal for the starlet, who can’t officially sign for a club until he is 16.
But Lofti Mejbri, the player’s father, is adamant there is no truth to those rumours and insists his son will see out his time at Clairefontaine.
He has however confirmed that a trial was held with the north London outfit, telling Le Parisien: “That’s false.
“Arsenal is the only club where Hannibal had a trial, but we didn’t sign anything.
“We’re free, and we will be until he finishes his time at Clairefontaine.”
Mejbri senior, himself a former footballer in Tunisia’s second tier, admits he is wary of the hype surrounding his son and wants him to prioritise his studies above all else for the time being.
He added: “As parents, we are proud of it but it is very surreal, because we know very well that everything that’s happening around him can be dangerous.
“The priority is his studies. It is more likely he becomes a doctor or lawyer than a pro footballer.”
