Liverpool Join the Crowded Race for Argentine Striker

WEST HAM and Liverpool have entered the race for Argentine youngster Naza Bazan Vera, according to reports.

And The Sun say the Hammers and the Kop are amongst a host of Premier League sides chasing the 17-year-old, who has been compared by scouts to Juventus ace Paulo Dybala.

The Velez Sarsfield forward is attracting attention from some of the biggest clubs in England and seems destined to have a big future.

He is already training with his side’s first team and has been called up to the Argentine under-20s.

West Ham have been touted as serious contenders for his signature, despite interest from clubs pushing for Champions League qualification.

Spanish side Villarreal are also showing an interest in the youngster who has a European passport and would not require a work permit.

Scouts have apparently likened Bazan Vera to Juventus forward Paulo Dybala who lit up Serie A last term but has found gametime hard to come by following their purchase of Gonzalo Higuain this summer.

The Sun add that Bazan Vera will be available for a very small fee given his age.
