LIVERPOOL are in talks to sign RB Leipzig’s midfield star Naby Keita.
Jurgen Klopp attempted to bring the Guinea international to Anfield last summer but lost out to the ambitious Bundesliga club.
According to Football Whispers, Liverpool have been in contact with with Keita’s representatives arena11 sports group throughout the campaign.
And it’s claimed talks have ‘intensified’ in recent weeks.
Liverpool discussed a move with arena11 sports group for Keita during their talks to sign Sadio Mane last summer.
But Reds chiefs were unable to match Leipzig’s £50,000-a-week deal and Keita believed he had a better shot at first-team football in Germany.
Liverpool have seen the 22-year-old shine at Leipzig and regret their failure to sign him, according to Football Whispers.
Keita has scored eight goals and provided eight assists for Leipzig, who sit second in the Bundesliga table.
Klopp claimed last week that Liverpool have already had “positive talks” for potential signings.
