Liverpool “have to pay around £40m or £50m” to Sign Sturridge Replacement

A host of Premier League clubs are looking to sign Lyon hitman Alexandre Lacazette this summer, according to French journalist Julien Laurens.

A report from Mirror claims that respected French football expert Julien Laurens has revealed that the prolific France striker could be heading to England to join the Gunners during the summer transfer window.

All three clubs are believed to be keen on reinforcing their forward line. Tottenham Hotspur have long been over-reliant on Harry Kane’s goal-scoring exploits. Furthermore, neither Anfield club nor Emirates side possess a centre forward in the mould of Kane, Diego Costa, Sergio Aguero or Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“I think he [Lacazette] will go to England,” the expert said as quoted by Mirror:

“Whether that is Liverpool, Arsenal or Tottenham – I don’t know. You will have to pay around £40m or £50m.”

Despite the 25-year-old’s impressive goal scoring exploits Lyon are placed 4th in Ligue 1, 16 points adrift of league leaders AS Monaco, and a full 13 points outside of the Champions League spot.

Liverpool are in need of proven goalscorer, as it’s widely believed that Daniel Sturridge is unhappy with his lack of playing time and considers leaving in the summer.

Same here for Arsenal, with Alexis Sanchez’ current deal coming to an end, and speculation rife about his and Arsene Wenger’s future, Lyon star could be a ready-made replacement if the Gunners should cash in on the talismanic Chilean.
