Liverpool have to beat Man United in race for Klopp’s dream target from Bundesliga

MANCHESTER UNITED are ready to splash the cash on Dortmund star Christian Pulisic.

Jose Mourinho is keen on bringing more creativity to his squad.

The Red Devils have already dipped into the transfer market after signing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.

But transfer chiefs are already looking at bringing in more stars to help gun down Manchester City for the Premier League title.

And American wonderkid Pulisic is top of that list, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The 19-year-old has been a regular for Dortmund this window, scoring four goals.

United are not the only team in the race though, with Liverpool also interested in his services.

The winger is considered to be the face of USA football, and would reap huge marketing advantages for the Red Devils should he join.

With an already strong presence in the States, Pulisic’s signature would only further their standing in the country.

The Dortmund starlet has already made 20 appearances for his nation, netting nine times.

Ex-Liverpool star Steve Nicol has warned the youngster about moving to Old Trafford too soon, though.

He said: “I think Pulisic is a sensible kid, he’s only just now a regular at Dortmund.

“I think he needs to stay there for another 12 months anyway.

“Now, does he go to Man United eventually? I think definitely there is a possibility of this being a hit.

“The kid I think is going to be good enough, I think he’s going to develop into a world-class player.

“And from a commercial point of view for Manchester United, I think this is a no-brainer.

“I think we’re talking 18-months time from now, there’s a real possibility Pulisic goes to Manchester United.”
